The 56th Annual Rutland May Days parade included 114 floats this year, and, as always, it was a great success. Hartman and Rutland Roads were lined with spectators and the streets themselves were filled with floats, classic cars, performers, and representatives of local businesses and organizations. The City of Kelowna gave out roses, kids received candy, and even the pets who were present were provided with treats. The community spirit was tangibly felt, and KelownaNow reporter Lauren Hjalmarson has more on the story.
