Kelowna RCMP Investigating Homicide in Black Mountain Neighbourhood

RCMP are currently investigating a homicide in the Black Mountain neighbourhood of Kelowna. 

At around 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7th, RCMP responded to a home on Feedham Avenue. The body of a 47-year-old deceased male was discovered inside.

According to Nancy Painter, Communications Officer with BC Emergency Health Services, BC Ambulance was called to the scene for a home invasion. Three ambulances responded to the incident, and one female was transported to hospital. There is no word on the woman's status at this point. 

The victim’s name is being withheld until the family is notified.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide and believe that it was a targeted incident. However, police said there is no danger to the public. 

Although RCMP have not released the exact address of the incident,  a residential home on Feedham is currently surrounded by police tape with officers on scene.
