$111,000 Boat Stolen From Kelowna Store

UPDATE: The stolen boat has been recovered in Alberta. The boat was located abandoned in a field near Grand Prairie. No suspects have been arrested in the theft. The investigation is ongoing.

A Kelowna business is the victim of yet another incident after their most expensive boat was stolen right out of their front parking lot.

Banner Recreation and Marine says someone stole its 2015 Campion Builtmore and the entire incident was caught on security video. The 23-foot boat is valued at $111,000 and was stolen off the lot on Sunday, sometime between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. The boat is one of only five available in Western Canada and is very distinctive. It has a tri-toon design and a very unique fiberglass design.

This latest theft comes after a fire destroyed three watercrafts at the company’s Vernon location. According to Banner Recreation, the boat was stolen by someone driving a white Ford F-350 Super Duty. The boat was on a black EZLoader trailer, which was also taken in the theft.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact their local police detachment or Crime Stoppers.
