A possible robbery is said to have taken place at the Loaves and Fishes store on Lawrence Avenue in downtown Kelowna Thursday afternoon.

According to Joshua Fraser, owner of the neighbouring business Data Nerds, the Christian supply store was robbed at about 1:45 p.m.

"We were all sitting here on our computers and then the neighbour comes out trying to grab some kid and he just rode away on his bike," said Fraser. "Their store is pretty messed up. I think there was definitely an altercation inside."

Fraser goes on to say that he believes the suspect took off riding a BMX bike and the store was left a mess.

RCMP has not yet commented on the incident, but the doors to the store have been locked and police remain on the scene. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
