Around $300,000 in bridge repairs will begin on Thursday, July 23rd along three bridges in Kelowna.

The City of Kelowna will begin work on Thursday on Ellis Street over Mill Creek, East Kelowna Road over Mission Creek, and the City of Kelowna Works Yard also over Mill Creek. The City conducts inspections and bridge repairs annually as required and the work must be done during July and August to avoid disruption of spawning. Short-term lane closures or detours will be in effect. Residents will be notified when repair work is to begin in their area.

The work is expected to be completed by September, with the contract awarded to Cumming Construction of Penticton. Traffic control personnel will be directing motorists and local residents around working crews.
