Kelowna property owners will want to make sure to get their taxes as soon as possible.

The City of Kelowna property taxes for 2015 will need to be paid by midnight on Tuesday, August 4th if you want to avoid the second mandated penalty.  You can make your payments online or by telephone banking if you use your roll number (without decimal points) as your account. You can also pay via the drop boxes at City Hall’s Water Street entrance and the Doyle Avenue parking lot exit. Finally, you can go in and pay at City Hall’s Revenue Branch front counter at 1435 Water Street.

If you want to pay at the front counter, be advised that City Hall is closed for B.C. Day on Monday, August 3rd.

The due date is close, so city officials don’t advise sending payments by mail. You can pay your property taxes with cash, cheque, money order, or debit card.

All outstanding taxes after August 4th, 2015 will receive a second five per cent penalty. Penalties are provincially legislated and therefore not discretionary.
