A new speaker series is set to provide support and inspiration to female leaders in the Okanagan.

The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, along with presenting sponsor Crowe MacKay, will host businesswoman Christina Anthony at the series’ first event.

Anthony has been featured as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in the Champions category by the Women’s Executive Network. She is also the founder of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs of BC; the Vice President, Director, and Portfolio Manager of Odlum Brown Limited; and was a finalist for Business in Vancouver’s Influential Women in Business Awards.

“Our involvement in women’s leadership comes as no surprise,” said Don Turri, Managing Director at Crowe MacKay LLP. “Just look at our partner portfolio. We strongly believe in encouraging women in our community to prosper, and are delighted to be able to bring such high quality speakers here to facilitate leadership development.”

Christina will be speaking at the Hotel Eldorado Kelowna between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. on September 29th. Her keynote address is titled, “Everyone Needs a Champion,” and will be followed by a facilitated discussion. Future speakers in the Pinnacle Women's Leadership Series will also be chosen for their distinguished achievements and inspirational business success.

Tickets to this event include breakfast and can be purchased through the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. They are priced at $20, and all funds raised will be donated to the Women’s Enterprise Centre’s mentorship program.
