The second annual Etsy Okanagan event will return to Kelowna with a Made in Canada theme set to be another huge success.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 26th at Sandhill Winery from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Etsy Okanagan will be one of 33 pop up shops taking part in the event nationwide. The event celebrates local Etsy sellers and this year’s event will feature more than 30 vendors from the community.

The inaugural event last year saw more than 3,000 attendees file through the doors at Sandhill Winery, and organizers expect this year’s event to be even bigger. More than 30 designers from throughout the interior will be in attendance and will feature a vast array of high quality products. Handmade home wares, childrens clothing and toys, organic apothecary items, locally designed clothing and gender neutral products are just a few of the items attendees will see at the event.

Visitors will be able to shop favourites like the organic landscapes of Trina Ganson, decorative pillow covers of Brazen Design Studio, handmade kimonos from Green Bean ReLoved, the whimsical artwork of Sarah Parsons,  adorable childrens/kids clothing of Pineapple Pete, the consciously produced jewellery of Wolf + Sadie.

There will be door prizes available, food trucks in the parking lot, and more available during the day. Each marketplace is inspired by the uniqueness of their respective communities. The Made in Canada movement is a sure way to promote local talent, and support independent artisans and makers.

Kelowna Etsy: Made in Canada supports the local organization Inn From the Cold. Their mission is to respond to the needs of people who are experiencing, or are at risk of homelessness, in a welcoming, compassionate and mutually respectful manner. Attendees of the show are encouraged to donate an article of warm clothing, blanket or toiletries to the significant cause.
