A church daycare and YMCA vehicles have been the target of thieves working in the Rutland area of Kelowna.

Kelowna RCMP has received several reports of thefts of fuel in the area, and recently the thieves were caught on surveillance video.

According to police, a white GMC pickup truck entered a lot on the 2500 block of Acland Road around 11:15 p.m. on November 17th. The driver of the truck stole gas from a parked cube van and then took off. Police say the truck is fairly beat up looking and has a brush grille guard on the front.

RCMP says no licence plates were on the vehicle, so police have thus far been unable to locate it. Anyone with information about the thefts or the suspect vehicle is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
