Residents are invited to attend an open house to view drawings of the Civic Block plan and learn more about the community process.

Information about the public space improvements as well as short and long term development plans will be available for viewing at the event.

“Over the last eight months, representatives from the arts, culture, business, residents, and community members worked with City staff and consultants to develop a plan for the Civic Block area of downtown,” said planner specialist, Ross Soward. “They envisioned the Civic Block as a place with dynamic civic spaces for gathering and celebrating, iconic buildings for arts and culture, and active streets for walking and cycling.”

The open house will take place on December 2nd from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kelowna Community Theatre. The Plan incorporates the area as a complete community where people can live, work and play.

Representatives from the City will be on hand to answer questions. Residents that cannot attend will have a chance to view the drawings and share feedback through getinvolved.kelowna.ca from November 30th until December 13th.
