The Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs is working to end bullying, as part of Pink Shirt Day, February 24th.
The 2nd Annual TELUS Pink Shirt Day Breakfast, from 7-9:30 a.m., will kick-off the day at the Laurel Packinghouse. The food will be prepared by the Okanagan College Culinary Arts Department.
Mayor Colin Basran will proclaim the day as Pink Shirt Day-Kindness Day and the event will feature special guest speaker Leah Goldstein.
Stein is a World Champion Kickboxer, Ultra Endurance Cyclist and Israeli Undercover Police Officer, and will share her story with event goers.
Tickets to the breakfast will be available online.
“We hope you will join in the movement to create communities filled with ‘Kindness,’” said the Boys and Girls Club in a statement. “Don’t forget to wear your pink.”

Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs (OBGC) is a registered charity that provides programs inclusive to all young people and families annually throughout the Okanagan Valley.
