It’s official, a new co-host for the 99.9 Sun FM morning show has been announced and it is a very familiar voice.

In March it was announced that current morning host Christy Farrell would be leaving her position and heading to Calgary, leaving the job open. The station has seen a number of staffing changes since losing the popular morning duo Kevin and Sonia in Feb. 2014. When Kevin Lim and Sonia Sidhu moved to Vancouver to join 102.7 The Peak, Farrell took over as morning host with Ian McKinnon.

Shortly after, McKinnon announced his departure from the station as he moved to Edmonton, and long-time announcer Brian Mack took over as co-host. Now, sitting in the co-hosting chair will be Karly Fiddes, former radio personality with 103.9 Juice FM. Fiddes will join Mack beginning in June as she makes her way back to the Kelowna airwaves.

“Never lose sight of your goals as dreams do come true. I'm ecstatic to begin my new journey in June, co-hosting on 99.9 Sun FM Kelowna Morning Show with the fiercely talented Brian Mack!!!” said Fiddes.

In 2015 Fiddes launched a lifestyle segment on Global TV called Lady Buzz which aired at 5 p.m. during the news. Fiddes already has a relationship with Bell Media and the Sun FM brand as she has been doing fill-in work at the station in Vernon.

“I can't believe I will be doing what I love the most, in the city I love the most, at the station I love the most,” added Fiddes.

The morning show runs from 5:30 until 10 a.m. weekdays in Kelowna.
