The second annual Unleashed event took place this Saturday in Kelowna, and everyone and their dog showed up!

The BCSPCA teamed up with four lakeshore wineries to bring this event to Kelowna residence's who love dogs just as much as they love local wine, over 150 people got their "Pawsports" stamped at Summerhill Pyramid Winery.

Before heading down to the vineyard, pup owners made donations at the entrance of the winery. A donation got them 2 complimentary tastings at all four wineries, as well as treats for them and their furry friends. At the base of the vineyard behind a gorgeous log cabin, people and pups alike gathered to mingle and sample some of Summerhill's finest wines.

A great thing about this event is that in addition to the donations made at the door, a part of the proceeds from the wine sales of the day at each winery went to the BCSPCA. Volunteer's from the BCSPCA, Kelowna branch were onsite selling SPCA swag as well as providing informative tips for pet owners for the fast approaching summer.

The only thing better than the wine and the weather were the adorable dogs and the smiles on everyone's faces. This event was not one to miss for both wine and dog lovers.
