Your regular coffee purchase went toward helping change thousands of lives, Wednesday, as Tim Hortons Camp Day marked its 25th anniversary in Kelowna and beyond.
All proceeds from coffee sales will be donated to the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation (THCF), and help provide more than 19,000 kids from low-income families across North America with an unforgettable summer experience they may not have had access to. Last year alone, Tim Hortons raised $12.4 million in Canada and the United States to make children's wishes come true.
Across Kelowna, many locations went above and beyond for the event. Some hosted silent auctions and others had honourary employees for a few hours. Kelowna Coun. Maxine Dehart was at the Glenmore location for the morning before returning to the Spall and Harvey location for another year of running the drive-thru.
The Spall and Harvey location was decorated to the nines with balloons and streamers hung over every inch of the space while the employees rocked their brightly coloured camp day shirts and even brighter smiles.
If you missed Tim Hortons Camp Day, you can always donate online.
