It was a sad ending to a missing person investigation after the body of a Kelowna woman was located in Washington State this week.

Neva Evdokimoff, 48, was reported missing on May 25 after she failed to return home to Kelowna after visiting family in Trail. Evdokimoff was last seen on video surveillance at Gyro Park in Trail, walking toward the beach area.

On June 9, Evdokimoff’s body was located by Steven’s County Sheriff’s in Washington State.

“The Trail and District RCMP continues to assist the BC Coroners Services with their investigation into the death of Neva Evdokimoff.  There is no indication of foul play being involved in her death,” said RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk in a statement.

Authorities recovered her body from the Columbia River.
