Sunday was the perfect day to be outside so, I headed into the sunshine to see what great adventures I could find.

I started my day off at the ever so stunning Okanagan Lavender and Herb Farm, where I took a self-guided tour through the picturesque gardens.

All my senses were working in overdrive as soon as I stepped into the gardens as I was instantly hit by the sweet aroma of lavender.

My eyes were always moving as they darted from one gorgeous flower to the next, consumed by the wide array of colours.

My ears were filled with the soothing sounds of bumble bees as they happily buzzed around their paradise gathering nectar.

After my tranquil yet exciting morning at the Lavender Farm, I headed to the mission baseball diamonds to see what was all happening at the Bats for a Cause event.

This event has been running for eight years in support of the B.C. Children's Hospital and has raised more than $300,000 throughout the years.

Twenty-two teams took part in the tournament and were created by local businesses and groups of people who wanted to support the cause.

Participants got to enjoy the sunshine all weekend long by playing ball, hanging out with friends, and making a difference.

After taking in a few games, I headed to the Kelowna Curling Club for the fourth annual Okanagan Tattoo Show.

Upon my arrival, I entered into a lively outdoor space filled with vendors tables, live music and some stellar classic rides.

After browsing around outside I headed to where the action was. More than 20 artists had set up shop indoors and had dozens of human canvases just waiting to get inked.

Even the kids could get tatted up at the airbrush booth outside!
