Kelowna Golf and Country Club hosted its seventh annual charity classic golf tournament Monday afternoon, bringing in dozens of golfers to enjoy the beautiful Okanagan sunshine.

The charity of choice for this particular tournament is the Central and South Okanagan Similkameen chapter of the United Way. United Way promotes programs and initiatives that support an inclusive, strong and healthy community, such as the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Some of the initiatives put in place to amp up the fun and fundraising  at this years' tournament were the "shoot over the pond" contest and a live auction. These activities are not only fun to participate in but enticed golfers with hefty prizes like a brand new car, a trip to Tofino and many others.

Whether you were laughing it up with friends, keeping score or just basking in the sunshine, this wonderful event for a great cause was not one to miss.
