How to win tickets to the upcoming NHL game in Vernon

Draw details have been released for tickets to Lumby’s Kraft Hockeyville NHL pre-season game and practice.

Both the Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings are set to participate in practice session on the morning of Sunday, Oct. 2 at 9:30 a.m.

The Oilers and Kings will go up against each other officially in the Kraft Hockeyville 2016 NHL pre-season game at 6 p.m. at Kal Tire Place in Vernon and will be broadcast across Canada on Sportsnet.

Tickets to both events will be distributed through a supervised public draw which will take place at Lumby and District Chamber of Commerce at 1882 Vernon St. in Lumby.

The public is invited to come in person to submit a ballot for a chance to win two tickets to the game or practice.

You can enter your ballots from Aug. 27 to 31 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to enter although photo ID will be required to confirm eligibility.

The “Residents’ Draw” is for residents of the Village of Lumby and North Okanagan Regional District Area “D” and “E.” You must bring one documentation, with postal code, to prove your residency and you have to be 19 or over.  For the pre-season game, 617 ballots will be drawn, representing 1,234 tickets. For the practice session, they will draw 716 ballots, representing 1,432 individual tickets.

Anyone 19 or over can enter the “Supporters’ Draw.” There will be 155 ballots drawn for 310 tickets for the NHL Pre-Season Game and 179 ballots drawn for 358 individual tickets, to the NHL® Team Practice Sessions.

Each person can only submit one ballot.

The tickets will be drawn for on Tuesday Sept. 20 and winners will be posted on Sept. 22 on the Lumby is Hockeyville Facebook Page.
