The City of Kelowna has released some details about traffic when it comes to the highly anticipated royal visit.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be stopping in Kelowna on Tuesday. This will probably cause a lot more traffic than we’re used to, so here is some important information you should know.

People should expect traffic delays along highway 97. Anyone heading towards the University, where the family will be, is advised to allow extra time for travel.

The speed limit between Edwards Road and Airport Way will be reduced to 60 kilometres an hour. The Highway 97 ramp to John Hindle Drive will be closed at 11 a.m. to traffic, except for transit vechiles.

After 11 a.m. , the only access to the University of British Columbia will be via Airport Way.

Extended transit service will be available from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. for the #97 Express.

There will be no parking at the University, on John Hindle Drive, Hollywood Road North or Innovation Drive. Vehicles may be towed to a propery north of Parking Lot H.

Pay-parking will be available on a number of undeveloped properties on Innovation Drive.

The family will be at UBCO for a public appearance, to watch some volleyball and then will sip wine around the Okanagan.
