A late model Ford F-150 pickup truck, travelling north down the centre of the gravel roadway, reportedly tried to move right to pass an oncoming vehicle but had trouble making the move.

The pickup truck, which had two passengers inside the cab and six more in the bed of the truck, flipped onto its roof.

All eight male teens, age 16-18, were transported to hospital for treatment of injuries which ranged from minor to serious. All their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening in nature.

“Preliminary findings indicate that neither, alcohol or drugs are believed to be contributing factors in this crash,” Const. Jesse O’Donaghey said. “RCMP suspect that driver inexperience may have played a role, and perhaps road conditions which may have been wet and slippery at the time.”

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing. No charges have been laid.
