696 Kelowna homes to be without power on Wednesday evening

Nearly 700 FortisBC customers will be without power on Wednesday evening.

FortisBC said the planned power outage is due to replacing ageing electrical and civil infrastructure. The lights will go out for 696 customers at 10 p.m.

The areas affected will be:

Ethel St. between Vaughan and Lawrence;

Clement from Richter St to Gordon Drive;

Coronation from Richter St to Gordon Drive;

Cawston from Richter St to Gordon Drive; 

Wilson Ave from Ethel St to Gordon Drive;

Fuller Ave Ave from Ethel St to Gordon Drive;

Stockwell Ave from Ethel St to Gordon Drive;

South side of Stockwell and north side of Martin ave from Richter to Ethel;

North side of Martin from Graham to Gordon;

Lawson from Ethel to Graham;

Graham from Martin to Bernard

The planned outage should be finished and lights should return back on around 6 a.m. on Thursday.
