Kelowna RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an ongoing police investigation.

On Thursday, Oct 20,  Kelowna RCMP received a report where a suspicious man associated with a white or beige coloured Mercedes four-door sedan, attended multiple schools in the area. After speaking with students and staff of these schools, Kelowna RCMP believe the man was searching for a student.

At this time it is unclear what the man’s intentions were, however RCMP and officials with the Central Okanagan School District are taking the matter seriously.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance, with the release of still images obtained from video surveillance footage, which they hope will aid in identifying the person of interest or his vehicle.

Description of person of interest:

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cst. Georgina Josefsson, School Liaison Officer (SLO), of the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. Or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
