Body pulled from Mission Creek

Emergency crews pulled a body from Mission Creek today.

According to Const. Jesse O'Donaghey, at 2:49 p.m. police received a report of an unresponsive male found in Mission Creek, in the 2300 block of Springfield Road.

Emergency services crews rushed to the scene and confirmed the male was deceased. They cordoned off a portion of Mission Creek Greenway and recoveerd his body.

O'Donaghey says investigators have identified the man, but they are not releasing his name until they notify his next of kin.

The investigation has now been turned over to the BC Coroners Service, and the death has been determined to be non-suspicious.
