Residents in Kelowna, and many other parts of the province, are finally waking up to snow on Friday morning.

Snow in Kelowna is expected to cap at about 2 cm for the day, but give yourself some extra time to get to work because roads are quite slick.

Elsewhere in the province, the white stuff is expected to pile up. Snowfall warnings are in place from Vancouver and Vancouver Island, with amounts of 10 to 20 cm predicted.

As a Pacific storm moved in overnight, it brought with it a few cm of snow on the mainland and the Island.

More precipitation is expected through Saturday on the South Coast, as snow mixes with rain tomorrow morning.

Reduced visibility will be a factor throughout the province.

There is a 60% chance of flurries for Kelowna on Saturday, with a low of -8C expected.
