Not only is it the holidays, which is a tough time of year for a lot of people, especially those down on their luck, but it's also the coldest time of the year.
Temperatures have been hitting -20C in Kelowna at night over the last few days and haven't been going above zero during the day, which aren't only tough conditions to sleep in, but tough conditions to survive in.
KelownaNow had the privledge of talking to Sonja Menyes, who does a lot of amazing and important work at Kelowna's Gospel Mission as their Manager of Volunteers and Development Officer.
