A temperature drop in the Okanagan this week lead to a spike in natural gas demand.

FortisBC was prepared by having extra gas stored in liquid form (LNG) which it then turned into gas and put into their distribution system.

Although usage has doubled, some customers are feeling left out in the cold. FortisBC is taking action and recommending energy saving tips to save their customers from a hefty bill.

If you are looking into major renovations to make your home more energy efficient you may be eligible for a rebate.
