UPDATE: Armed police incident in Rutland resolved

(UPDATE: 1:00 p.m.) - A shortlived armed standoff in Rutland has been resolved.

Cops responded to a residence at Muir Road and MacKenzie Road with rifles drawn, but the incident was shortlived and is now resolved.

There's no word on any arrests as of now, but KelownaNow will continue to update this story as information comes out. 

Highway 33 was shut down during the incident, but is once again open to traffic. 

(Original story: 12:40 p.m.) - KelownaNow is receiving reports of a police incident on near Highway 33 and Muir Road.

According to one source, there are at least three police cars on scene and the cops are armed with rifles.

Traffic has been re-routed to MacKenzie Road because of the incident.
