Exciting news if you're looking to get a mountain biking fix in January.

Big White has designated two Nordic Trails, normally used for cross country skiing, to the use of fat tire mountain bikes.

Fat biking will now run on Trapping Meadows and Tile Field Loop, trails that are easily accessible from Happy Valley Day Lodge or from the Black Forest car park

With the opening of mountain biking at Big White Ski Resort this summer, we are excited to give fat bikers their own place in our winter community as well,” said Michael J. Ballingall, Senior Vice President at Big White Ski Resort.

"Our ultimate aim is to create a unique riding destination in the Okanagan, and this includes fat biking."

Patrol reminds fat bikers to yield to all other user groups on the nordic trails to ensure safety.
