Kelowna woman vying for Miss World Canada title

Twenty-one year old Kelowna woman, Shanelle Connell is a Provincial Finalist in Miss World Canada.

The pageant is the preliminary to Miss World, the oldest and and most prestigious pageant in the world, and will be held in Vancouver this March.

Shanelle is currently a busy woman not only preparing for the competition, but studying Psychology full time at UBCO, working in a research lab, and volunteering at OK Clinical.

She is also planning an initiative to raise money for Cardiac Kids, the charity of choice this year for Miss World Canada.

The weekend before Valentine’s day Shanelle is teaming up with wedding photographers Victoria Blaire and Alisha Khan, to host Sweethearts for Little Hearts. “Couples or families can come to us and get a mini photoshoot session, 50 dollars for 5 professional photos, or 100 dollars for 10. All proceeds go towards Cardiac Kids.”
