RCMP raid Kelowna drug house

An investigation led by the Kelowna RCMP Downtown Enforcement Unit (DEU) lead to the execution of a search warrant on a suspected drug home late Friday evening.

Investigators with the Downtown Enforcement Unit (DEU) obtained a warrant to search the suspected drug home located in the 1500 block of Elm Street.

Officers with the Kelowna RCMP DEU, partnered with general duty officers and RCMP Police Dog Services to safely execute the warrant on the home, where in a man and two women were arrested inside, without incident.

“A subsequent search of the residence yielded over 100 grams of suspected cocaine, over 1.15 grams of suspected heroin, over 280 grams of marijuana, nearly half a gram of suspected methamphetamine and just over 300 various illicit pills,” states Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.

“During their search, investigators also seized a replica firearm, a can of bear spray, packaging materials consistent with drug trafficking and cash.”

The suspect male was identified by investigators, as a 59-year-old Kelowna man and deemed to in breach of his Probation Order. He was held in custody over the weekend and faces several potential charges. The two women were later released unconditionally and without charge.
