Award-winning pianist in Okanagan

An award-winning pianist is performing in Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon from March 10th to March 12th. Minsoo Sohn’s performance is called Colours of Russia.  Sohn was born in Korea and began playing at age three. He studied in Boston and at the New England Conservatory. He now teaches at Michigan State University. Sohn has toured throughout North America, Europe and Israel and played at Carnegie Hall, Toronto’s Glenn Gould Studio, as well as many other favoured concert halls.

“We welcome the Honens Laureate, Korean Pianist Minsoo back. He brought the house down on his last visit and returns to show off his incredible musicianship,” said Rosemary Thomson, Music Director Okanagan Symphony Orchestra.

Colours of Russia opens in Kelowna on Friday, March 10, with performances in Penticton on Saturday, March 11th and the final performance in Vernon on Sunday, March 12th. All performances start at 7:30 p.m. and doors open at 6:30 p.m.
