Cool Arts Society recognizes young, autistic artist

A young artist gets his art debut at the Rotary Centre for the Arts tonight.

The Cool Arts Society is celebrating the work of James Martin this Thursday, March 2nd until 7 p.m.

James Martin is 22 years-old and was born in Kelowna.

Martin is autistic and nonverbal. He uses art as a form of expression and communication. Martin’s art focuses on using a variety of media.

The event is part of a series that features different artists each Thursday.

Cool Arts Society is a local nonprofit that provides art opportunities for adults with diverse abilities.

The event is free to the public.
