Hunting hawk missing around Lakeshore Marina

A local falconer (or austringer for those handling hawks) is turning to the public to help find her missing red tail hawk.

The missing hawk is described as a dark-morph juvenile red tail hawk and can be identified by the leather straps on his legs, shown in the pictures below.

The hawk is not a pet, but used as a hunting companion and has been used in bird control services.

The hawk was last seen about a week ago around the Marina on Lakeshore.

The owner's main concern is safely removing the leather straps around the hawk's talons before releasing it back into the wild.
