The Anaheim Ducks will be traveling to Edmonton to square off against the Edmonton Oilers for Game 3 of the Western Conference semi-finals on Sunday.

However, before Game 4 scheduled for Wednesday, reports reveal the Ducks are planning to spend Monday and Tuesday in Kelowna.

“Ducks have apparently decided to escape Oilers playoff energy in Edmonton by flying to Kelowna for the two-day break between Game 3-4,” tweeted Terry Jones, a reporter for the Edmonton Journal.

The news prompted a comical response from Kelowna Mayor Colin Basran.

Fans and critics have also been quick to react to the news.

The Ducks are going into Game 3 of the series currently trailing behind the Oilers 2-0.
