With the sun shining many people look to getting out on Okanagan Lake.

However, if you are looking to venture out onto the Lake, please use caution as the heavy spring runoffs from the various creeks have deposited a lot of debris into the lake.

This photo was submitted to us this morning from her paddle session near Rotary Beach.

Some of the Okanagan creatures may be riding on the debris as well, so be extra careful.

The below photo shows the effect of the Mission Creek debris on Okanagan Lake.

This photo shows how far the Mill Creek spill influenced the lake. Further south down the lake you can see the brown staining from the Gellatly Road area.

Debris from Powers Creek from the Westside of Okanagan Lake.

Please use extreme caution as some logs may be mostly below surface and may be hard to see in the discolouration.
