If you were out and about on Sunday, you may have caught a glimpse of a world-class fighter aircraft.

On Sunday, a supersonic CF-188 Hornet - also known more popularly as the CF-18 - flew over the Okanagan and stopped for fuel at the Kelowna international Airport (YLW).

Neil Drachenberg, the Safety and Security Manager at YLW, confirmed the visit and mentioned that sometimes Canadian fighter jets will fly-by or touchdown to refuel.

A shot of the aircraft was caught and uploaded to Instagram by Nick Clements (@lokikuda).
