You may have noticed an abundance of sailboats treading Okanagan Lake the past few days and that is all thanks to the 2017 Mobility Cup.

The regatta brought close to 50 sailors to Okanagan Lake from a wide variety of ages, all of whom face different disabilities, but all share a love of being on the water.

Born in Vancouver in 1991, the Mobility Cup is held in major cities across Canada as a way to bring disabled sailors from around North America together for some friendly competition.

Hosted at the Kelowna Yacht Club, our city, and the Kelowna Disabled Sailing Association are lucky enough to host the international event for its 26th year.

If you want to see these sailors in action you can catch a race at the Yacht Club as the event will be concluding Friday afternoon.
