49th annual Big White Ski and Board Swap returns this Saturday

Follow nearly 20 centimetres of fresh snowfall over the weekend at Big White, the resort’s popular ski swap is now just around the corner. 

The 49th annual Big White Ski Club Ski and Board Swap will take place this Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26 at the New Life Church located along Harvey Avenue and behind MEC.

Consignment takes place this Friday, from 10 am until 7:30 pm with a $2 fee per item. 

The actual sale begins on Saturday morning at 8 am and lasts until 3 pm with a $2 admission fee for individuals and a $5 fee for families. 

Those willing to volunteer at the event will also receive first dibs at the great gear, anyone interested is invited to the “Buy Night” on beginning at 7:30 Friday evening.

“Once again the Ski and Board SWAP offers quality pre-owned equipment and accessories from several retailers,” stated Big White Ski Club in a release. 

“Funds raised through the annual ski swap are utilized to help support the Big White Ski Club, a non-profit organization that for over 60 years has proved world-class ski and alpine training.”
