'Tis the season to sip cider and whether you like them spiced, cold, warm or for adults only, we've compiled a list of six ciders by local Kelowna cideries to help you find something new to enjoy this holiday season.
Upside Cider
With so many delicious cider options, the Upside Cider Slushie that's made in house is unseasonably worth it trying this holiday season. Add either their Tropical Pear slush or Plum Rosé slush to any cider for no additional cost and sip back and enjoy this Kelowna Cidery.
At Upside Cider they produce their cider with depth and integrity at the production facility and tasting room that's located on their certified organic farm. The best apple varieties are selected and stored in a controlled atmosphere giving a flavour like no other cider. Give this cider a shot and let us know if you like it slushie or as is.
WARDS
A personal favourite of mine is WARDS Picker's Hut Winter Spice Cider, which tastes great hot or cold and really hits the spot after a day at Big White Ski Resort. This cider has been premixed so all you have to do is either chill or warm it up in a pot over a fire, on the stove, or simply pour it into a mug and heat it up in the microwave.

Truck 59
At the lone cidery on the Westside Wine Trail, they encourage you to build a snowman and see if you can spot the Crown at Truck ’59 Ciderhouse! Come warm up inside with a cider tasting, and try their new Winter Cider.
Like WARDS cider, the Truck 59 Lil' Drummer Boy is enjoyable heated up or chilled. It has been aged in rum barrels and infused with Christmas spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, chai, ginger and orange.
BC Tree Fruits
Like the others on this list, BC Tree Fruits is made with local fruit, fresh-pressed and fermented using traditional methods, but it's their infusion of Apples and Hops or Peaches and Pears that'll really make your mouth water.
Their Broken Ladder ciders are available in cans and as growler fills too, so look out for them in-store or visit the cidery. If you're lucky, you might get to taste and fill a growler full of their rotating taps that often include Plum Basil or Nectarine and Brown Sugar.
Scenic Road Cider
Their Winter Spice Cider may be hard to find as it flew off the shelves... but that doesn't mean you can't sip into some of Scenic Road's other core ciders.
If you're keen on the winter spice, keep an eye out in the new year when they expect it to make a reappearance. In the meantime, we suggest you try the Razz. This cider infuses Fraser Valley raspberries with apples from the Okanagan to create a truly unique blend.
Soma Craft Cider
At Soma Cidery, they're blending tradition with imagination to produce exceptional cider.
Currently only open for private-bookings, you can sip Soma by finding it on shelves at Private Liquor Stores across BC... but if you can book a private tasting, we suggest you try the hot mulled cider.
