A large development on the corner of KLO Road and Richter Street wil be voted on by council on Monday, July 15.

The five-storey, 99-unit “KLO Gardens” project is proposed on two corner lots that currently contain semi-detached residential housing.

City staff are supportive of the rezoning application, stating "the proposed development is intended to attract the student population from Okanagan College due to its proximity to the college, everyday amenities and employment opportunities."

The 99-units will consist of four styles of studio-sized rooms and only 62 stalls of parking will only be provided for the 99-units.

According to the proposal, developers held a public information session on June 19 that was attended by a total three people.
