Downtown Kelowna’s St. Paul Street is set to host a “pop-up” urban art gallery on June 1st.

Organizers say the “Palace of Manufactures” will bring featured art from three of Canada’s leading artistic minds to the city for the very first time.

Those checking out the pop-up gallery will see works inspired by animation, comic books, video games, cartoons, graffiti, hip hop, and 80s and 90s culture.

Montreal based muralist Ankhone is one of the event’s top billed artists.

Ankhone has seen his graffiti-inspired work featured across the globe from Montreal to Miami to Marseille and has exhibited his canvases in many of North America’s most renowned urban art galleries.

The show will also feature 3D artwork by award-winning designer, muralist, and Vancouver-based artist Tierney Milne, who is considered a “rising star” in the Canadian art world.

The third artist to be featured by the gallery will be the incredible hand-made screen prints and surreal illustrations created by Ben Duncan of Vancouver.

Last but not least will be Kelowna's very own Todd Ramsay, owner of Yeti Farm Creative, who will be showcasing his illustrations for the very first time in a gallery setting.

"The art we feature stands apart from spaces, transcending dry-wall, paint hues, and attached décor. It doesn’t match; it distinguishes, it conflicts. It says something to, and about, the person who collects it," said event organizers via press release.

"It represents a connection between the soul of the artist and the soul of the collector. It is valuable."

Palace Of Manufactures is free and open to the public for one day only, Saturday, June 1st from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 1405 St. Paul Street, 2nd floor of The Switchboard building.
