The controversial Aggasiz Road supportive housing project will return to city council’s agenda on Monday, June 24.

In January, the four-storey, 52-unit development is designed to provide homes and social services for homeless and at-risk Kelowna residents.

However, this time around, only the building's actual design will be up for debate at City Hall as the project has already been successfully rezoned.

"The proposed development provides a visually interesting façade along the streetscape through the articulated façade, flat-roof design and a mixture of building finish colours and textures," reads the report from city planners.

"The building is finished with hardie-panel which includes lap siding (traditional red and beige) and vertical and horizontal panels in arctic white and slate gray. Slate coloured brick is used along the base of the building and wraps the west side of the building. The project includes multiple outdoor spaces with extensive perimeter landscaping to enhance the public realm at the street level as well as providing privacy for the residents."

If approved, the development permit will be valid for the next two years.
