Another 2 deaths reported at Kelowna care home

Another two people have died at Cottonwoods Care Centre in Kelowna.

The care home has been dealing with an outbreak of COVID-19 since Aug. 4.

There have been a total of 69 cases since the outbreak was declared, 54 of them among residents and 15 among staff.

Fifteen people have died.

Interior Health did not reveal any details about the latest deaths.

The Cottonwoods outbreak is the most deadly active outbreak in the Interior. 

A previous outbreak at the home – which was connected to two deaths – was declared over in May.
