Lime Architecture Inc., has submitted an application requesting that city staff consider a two-storey four plex near Kelowna’s growing brewery district.

Each unit in the building would have three bedrooms, access to a four-car garage and would be located on the 930-block of Coronation Avenue.

This area of Kelowna is seeing a large amount of developments, including a number of new breweries that have opened along Clement Avenue.

The project falls within the RU7 zone, or infill housing zone, and was designed with the two-sided lane access and narrow shape of the property in mind.

“With this four plex approach, we were able to take advantage of additional exterior wall space for window placement which allows for bright open floor plans for all 4 units,” reads the application.

According to the architecture’s designs, each unit would have the kitchen, living room and dining room on the ground floor. The second floor would contain three bedrooms, one bathroom and one en suite bathroom.

Development permits under the RU7 zone are issued directly by City of Kelowna staff and usually take about two to three months to be issued.

Lime Architecture Inc. has been involved with or proposed a number of infill housing projects, including a two-building project with three units near the college and a proposed 32-unit development on Bernard Avenue.

This area of Kelowna's North End neighbourhood is seeing a number of new developments, including the new complexes along Clement Avenue and a proposed 66-unit condo building.
