In an effort to put more physical distance between hikers and bikers on Knox Mountain, the City of Kelowna has implemented a significant change.

The Apex Trail, which is the path from either parking lot up to the summit, is now a one-way path.

That means that hikers can use the Apex Trail to travel up the mountain, but will need to take Knox Mountain Drive to go back down, while bikers will still be able to use separate mountain bike trails to get down the hill.

Directional signage will be in place to guide park users.

Knox Mountain Drive remains closed to vehicle traffic until further notice.
