In the days of prohibition, the speakeasy was a bar where you had to know a few secrets to find your way in.
At Kelowna's popular BNA Brewing, they're celebrating that part of history in their latest expansion which is set to open.
A bar, with a country feel has been added with room for 150 people, that is if you can find it!
You might start looking at the new General Store near the bocce court, but you didn't hear that from us.
"We're going to have line dancing lessons, live music, Karaoke and Juke Box on Sundays, ladies' nights on Thursdays, lots of different things," said Jill Jarrett at BNA.

If you find your way in, you'll find a lot of nostalgic elements.
It's the kind of thing the Nixon Hospitality Group have become known for.
"We like classic things. Things that are, sort of, timeless in a lot of ways," said Jarrett.
Despite the changes, the things people have learned to love at BNA remain, including the airstream trailer parked inside, bowling, bocce and more.

The new space takes advantage of some unused space in the old brick building that BNA is located in.
It brings the capacity of the entire establishment up to 500 people.
"We're really thankful that the city was supportive of this, it's just another option for people looking for something do do out in Kelowna."

While BNA will still close at 1:00 am, the new Speakeasy will remain open until 2:00 am.
The plan is for a more orderly departure around closing time.
"It's going to help us disperse that late-night crowd a little bit," explained Jarrett.
"And the exit out through here is through Cannery Lane, so it's going to help us spread that out as well."

This latest effort by the Nixon Group is bound to be fun, and reflects the demand on the hospitality sector to keep things interesting.
"Innovative, new and interesting, but classic and timeless," said Jarrett.
The new space opens at 9 pm on Thursday, Sept. 19.
