There is nothing more refreshing than soaking up the warm weather at the beach and with Kelowna beaches finally getting the "OK" for swimming, there was nothing stopping people from getting out and enjoying the cool water.

This afternoon at Gyro Beach, the shore was packed end to end with people sunbathing, swimming and having a good time.

From floating in the water to playing beach volleyball and rope-swinging in the water, there is nothing you can't do at Gyro Beach.

KelownaNow went out to snap a couple photos of the residents spending their day relaxing in the sun.

(All tests come back 'acceptable' for Kelowna beaches)
