After being crowned champion of MasterChef Canada in 2018, Beccy Stables relocated to Kelowna, and now the new community member will be briefly returning to the show that started it all.

The young chef won the title at the age of 19, and now runs a catering company in Kelowna called Bec Catering. Next week, she'll join the new round of chefs in a new episode of the hit show she became known from.

“Definitely prefer being on this side of the kitchen,” she shared on Instagram.

Stables sat down with NowMedia back in July after winning season five of the popular cooking competition and explained how she went from cooking as a hobby to being a professional.

She was the youngest contestant on the season, and blew people away with her talent.

“I was showing people that young people can cook,” she explained. “It was like ‘wow this girl is so young, she’s going to inspire so many people to get in the kitchen.”

You can catch next week’s episode of MasterChef Canada on CTV on Monday at 9 p.m. PT.
