On Feb. 17, 2019, Kristine Sutherland suffered very serious injuries after a hit and run near Kelowna’s downtown core.
Her family and friends describe her as “a tough cookie,” but she’s still on a long and painful road to recovery.
Sutherland, who supports herself through a small cleaning company, has been unable to operate her own business since the incident.
A GoFundMe has helped raise over $6,000 to support Sutherland while she recovers from her injuries and now a benefit concert will be held to add to that total.
It’ll be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 21 at the Blue Gator in downtown Kelowna and a number of the Okanagan’s best musicians will be involved.
Live entertainment will be hosted by Florida Man and Rumble 100, with a number of special guest performers including:
- Jimmy Leguilloux (Power 104)
- Kat Lawrence (The Headpins)
- Tad Goddard (Prism)
- Paul Sexsmith (The Hip Replacements)
- Tim Reardon (The Young’Uns)
- Rich Rock (Matthew Good Band)
- Rachel Matkin (The Matkin Family Band)
The show is free but donations are encouraged and there will be 50/50 draw as well.
