Bike to Work Week kicks off on Monday

Put the car away, get those bike tires pumped up and set the alarm a few minutes earlier, Bike to Work Week is almost here!

The annual initiative begins on Monday and there are already 280 teams registered to participate in Kelowna.

If you haven’t already registered your team, you can do so by clicking this link, and if you have you can pick up your team kit at Parkinson Recreation Centre’s front desk.

Mayor Colin Basran will will kick things off on Monday at 8 a.m. with a few words at the Landmark Centre, where everyone can drop by for the kickoff event between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.

If you can’t make it to the kickoff event, visit one of the Bike to Work Week satellite stations, which will be located ChainLine Cycle and parking lot E at UBCO.

There will be satellite stations all over Kelowna throughout the week, which you’re encouraged to stop by with your Bike to Work Week passports.
